Hi, I'm Matthias.

Chemistry student at NAWI Graz. Linux user. Self-hoster with a homelab problem.

I take things apart to understand them: molecules, legacy Windows applications, undocumented Modbus registers and occasionally my own weekend plans. When something breaks, the cause is never the obvious thing.

What keeps me busy

I'm curious by default and more geek than nerd. I run Arch on the desktop, contribute to open source and have a weakness for self-hosting. If something has a Docker image, there's a good chance I'll try running it myself.

Away from the terminal, my interests include 3D printing, e-bikes and botany. I also feel at home in the chaos-adjacent community around the CCC.

This website is where I collect technical notes, working setups and the occasional detour. The guides cover the individual steps. Under Links, you'll find articles and talks to explore next.
